Sonnie Njau

Sonnie Njau is the Founder and CEO of Men Impact Change (M.I.C.), an organization she founded in 2014, whose mission is to transform our males through entrepreneurship training, exposure to professional networks, positive masculinity, and connection to mentors. Inspired by Frederick Douglass quote, she believes that “It is easier to build a boy, than repair a broken man.” She aims to use the M.I.C. platform to bridge the economic gap through entrepreneurship education while building capable men and leaders of the next generation.
Sonnie Founded MIC in her living room in 2014. Her stellar leadership has propelled MIC to be a globally recognized movement, honoring African legends like Professor Ngugi Wa Thiong’o, civil rights advocate the late Congressman Elijah E Cummings, former CNN Commentator, Roland Martin, Shark Tank Alumni, Moziah “Mo” Bridges, Morgan State President, Dr. David Kwabena Wilson, along with 103 other minority men of impact while impacting the lives of over 1,000 young men. Through the MIC platform, she has designed numerous programs and Workshops, including the Design Thinking Workshop which she launched at the peak of the pandemic, and the AI Workshop which she launched in 2024.
Her Yale SOM Executive Leadership Program, 8-year tenure in Corporate America, as well as her 6-year tenure at Higher Ed, last of which she served in the President’s Office, has served her well in building the organization from the ground up. She is a catalyst for change and as Dr. Myles Monroe said, “Great leaders are measured by the success of their successors.” Sonnie aims to use her leadership experience to positively impact those around her and hopes that the impact will last in her absence.
