Kendrick R. Tilghman is a multifaceted Baltimore entrepreneur, DJ, educator, outreach specialist, and one of the nation’s top advocates for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (S.T.E.A.M.). Through his company, 5 Starr Enterprise, he aims to revolutionize S.T.E.M. workforce diversity by educating and empowering communities.

Tilghman is also the founder of the BEMORESTEM Foundation Inc., a national network that brings innovative, hands-on S.T.E.M. experiences to communities, fostering creative thinking and academic success. The foundation’s hypothesis is that creativity in education leads to higher academic performance. Over the years, he has earned praise for adding the “WOW” factor to S.T.E.M. education, solidifying a strategic partnership that scales software and hardware products, teaching the art of DJing using mathematical principles, coding kits, and Bluetooth speakers.

Academically, Tilghman holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Electrical Engineering, a Master of Business Administration, and is pursuing a Doctorate in Engineering Research Education. He has served as the past president of the Greater Baltimore Black Chamber of Commerce, and continues his leadership as president of the Baltimore County African American Cultural Festival and vice president of Black Professional Men Inc. His dedication to service defines his career, and he credits his wife, Carole L. Tilghman, for playing an instrumental role in his success.
